Africa is on the frontlines of a climate crisis it did not create. Our salons gather cross-sector leaders to pressure-test proposed solutions to advancing climate resilience, adaptation, and governance in Africa, identifying which solutions are endorsed by countries, scientists, and civil society and are accessible and supported by frontline communities so capital flows to the most promising solutions backed by communities and innovators in Africa.
Our issue areas are co-identified with leaders in Africa and the African diaspora to facilitate timely conversations that accelerate the identification of solutions worth funding, and risks that global funders, companies, and governments must address to create a prosperous climate and nature future in Africa and beyond.
ENERGY
We understand that the lack of affordable, accessible, and consistent energy disrupts the lives and livelihoods of African communities. Our Salons explore key issues on addressing these challenges — from critical minerals to energy diplomacy — affecting a just and sustainable energy transition and energy access in Africa.
NATURE
Africa's forests, oceans, and biodiversity are among the most critical and most threatened ecosystems on the planet. The communities stewarding them have been doing so for generations, long before formal conservation efforts. Our salons bring together frontline leaders, scientists, and innovators to explore what genuinely works for people and planet, from preventing illegal logging to protecting African oceans from overfishing, and what deserves serious backing.
ETHICAL TECH
We understand tech is evolving at an accelerated pace, and see it as a necessity to meaningfully discuss if and how it can support African leaders in protecting their natural environments. We bring African scientists and tech founders to discuss the possibilities, opportunities, and risks with using emerging technologies from a place of truth-seeking.

Every Salon centers their unique expertise, stories, and recommendations as leaders, not just in-country experts to be consulted, and provides authentic leaders with opportunities to platform their work and pressure-test their ideas in community with peers working across various sectors.
